The 2022 Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours is taking place Saturday and Sunday: October 8 & 9, 15 & 16, 22 & 23.

Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours catalog is a high-quality magazine featuring the artists and businesses participating in the Open Studio Art Tours and a map marked with participating locations. The catalog is available free of charge at various Morongo Basin and Coachella Valley locations. The catalog serves as an ongoing resource for locals, art collectors, business owners and arts patrons who want to contact artists directly and as a tour planning guide and souvenir for our visitors.

WHY SPONSOR:

  • Longevity – Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours is one of the most significant annual events in the hi-desert, and 2022 is our 21st year. This is the largest long-running art studio event in the West Coast.
  • Visitors – An estimated 10,000+ visitors annually participate. They come from all areas of California, the southwest US and internationally from places like Canada and Europe, and this event has a solid local following.
  • Destination Event – many visitors plan to stay through the entire weekend, taking time to enjoy the area. Our guests generate an estimated $500,000 in revenue in one month by experiencing the variety of lodging, eateries, services and shopping in our region.
  • Quality Visitors – a recent study by Americans for the Arts show that cultural tourists spend twice as much as other tourists – $39.96 vs. $17.42
  • Promotion of your business – Media and press coverage for the Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours covers the Morongo Basin, Coachella Valley and other areas of Southern California.
  • Community service - You get to help make the Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours happen. This event occurs because of countless volunteer hours from our board and volunteers. Without ad sales revenue, a high-quality catalog cannot be printed without increasing Artist Studio fees. We thank you for the financial support!
Ad Specifications: Images must include crop marks and bleed and must be within the exact dimensions of the ad size you purchase. Do not add any border to the edge of your ad. In addition to our ad registration page, please fill out this form https://bit.ly/2022-hwy62-ad to upload your print quality high resolution (300 dpi minimum) camera-ready ad. Image formats accepted: TIFF, JPEG or press-ready PDF. You will have an opportunity to proof your ad before printing. MBCAC is not responsible for the print quality of low-resolution artwork/images (under 300 dpi). Optional access to graphic design resources are available for an additional $100 charge.

Payment is due with ad copy. Payment may be check, cash or credit card. Deadline is June 10, 2022 for ad copy, camera ready art and payment. No exceptions.

Sponsorships and donations go toward promoting and improving the Open Studio Hwy 62 Art Tours and other exhibits, events and arts programs offered by the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council. Donations are also gratefully accepted. MBCAC is a 501(c)(3) organization.
